So, here is the first question.
Q1. Sumit please introduce yourself to the readers of QuestionBlogging?
Thanks, Nishant for inviting me to this interview series.
Hello friends, I’m Sumit Sao, 27 years old full-time blogger, affiliate marketer, and founder of Blogging Lift and Exact Blogging where I share helpful guides related to blogging, SEO, and affiliate marketing.
You’ll be glad to know that there are more than 43,000+ members in our Facebook Community “Blogging Lift“.
Apart from this, I’m also running a YouTube channel “Sumit Sao‘ where you can get blogging-related videos.
Q2. Sumit can you tell your blogging story to my readers?
I started my blogging journey when I was in college. During my last semester of college, I learned HTML and wanted to design a webpage.
However, after designing this webpage, I realized the main problem was that I did not know how to show this page on the internet.
Luckily, from somewhere I came to know that we have to purchase a domain name and hosting for this website.
After that, one day I accidentally visited ShoutMeLoud.com, and I thought that they have also designed this awesome website by writing HTML codes.
But after reading ShoutMeLoud articles, I knew that they are using the WordPress platform and we can even earn money from our blog through Google AdSense and affiliate marketing, etc.
In this way, I started my blogging journey.
Q3. I have read in an interview that you are a part-time blogger. Do you still do blog part-time, or now you are a full-time blogger?
Yes, I was doing blogging with my full-time job. My job timing was from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM that’s why it was too stressful.
However, in March 2020 I realized that I started making more money from blogging than my full-time job.
So, I decided to quit my job and focus on blogging full-time.
Now, I’m a full-time blogger.
Q4. Can you tell your process from keyword research to blog writing to my blog readers?
Here is my process of writing an in-depth article:
STEP 1: First, I research the topic I want to write about. Example: affiliate marketing tips
STEP 2: I enter this keyword in WriterZen and Ahrefs to find some easy to rank long-tail keywords
STEP 3: After finding easy to rank keyword, I enter this keyword on Google to check the top 10 ranking articles. It helps me to prepare a better outline of my article to write better articles than already ranking articles.
STEP 4: Then I use the AI Writing tool, to write my article 5x faster.
STEP 5: After that, I optimize my article for relevant terms using Frase.
This is my process of writing articles.
Q5. Can you tell some of your productivity hacks that make you productive?
My productivity hacks are:
#1. I use the Trello app to track my work status.
#2. I take breaks during my work to keep myself fresh. After a break, I feel that I can complete my pending work with 100% focus.
Q6. Can you give a checklist which would help my amateur blog readers to earn money from their blog?
There is not any doubt that affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money from a blog.
I know that when you’ll start a new blog then you’ll not get lots of traffic. So, My suggestions for your readers are:
TIP 1: Open your Google Search Console account and try to find which article of your blog is getting the most traffic.
After finding high traffic article, read this article carefully and think about which product you can naturally promote in this article.
After finding the right product, promote it in the article. You’ll definitely get a good result with this simple hack.
TIP 2: Build your email list from day 1 to convert your traffic into your audience. It’ll help you in the long run.
Q7. You know that it is really hard to get traffic to your blog. Can you tell some traffic generation methods that you use on your blog?
I know that if your blog is new then getting organic traffic is very difficult. You can use Quora, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest to get traffic to your blog.
But my main suggestion for you is to build your own audience. For this, you can do the following things.
TIP 1: Build your email list from day 1.
TIP 2: Start your own Facebook group. Provide value and help people in your group and other relevant groups. It’s the best way to build authority and grow your Facebook Group.
The above two methods can help you to get traffic to your blog whenever you want. So, focus on building your audience from day 1.
Q8. Tell me some elements that you add to your product review posts as you write it uniquely?
Before writing a review article, I do lots of research so that I can share all the details of the product.
I mention pros, cons, benefits, pricing, etc in my review article.
