Top 7 Kadence WP Theme Alternatives
Here are my top 7 best Kadence theme alternatives that you can try in case you don’t like the Kadence theme.
1. Astra (Best Kadence Alternative)
Astra is my favorite Kadence theme alternative because of its recent update which has made this theme a lot faster and compatible with Gutenberg.
Astra theme comes with almost all the features that you get with the Kadence theme such as well-optimized code, a lot of customization options, layouts, and more.
You can easily customize this theme using a visual page builder like Elementor or a Gutenberg-based page builder like Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg.
Along with that Astra comes with a lot of integrations like LifterLMS, LearnDash, and more.
The best part? There are a lot of tutorials available on YouTube or Google around the Astra theme which would help you design this theme easily.
Why you should go for the Astra theme?
Pros and Cons of Astra Theme
Astra Theme Pricing
Astra theme is a freemium theme which means that you can use its free version right away on your website.
However, it lacks some awesome features which you can get by upgrading to its pro version.
The pro version of Astra comes with annual and lifetime pricing plans.

2. GeneratePress (Runner-up)
GeneratePress is another one of my favorite themes for bloggers.
However, the main reason why I haven’t kept it at the number one spot is because it contains some outdated features.
But it doesn’t mean that this theme is not worth it because GeneratePress is still one of the fastest and user experience optimized themes in the WordPress directory.
Just like Kadence, you can easily pair it with the GenerateBlocks plugin to make your website look beautiful without harming your website’s speed much.
One of the best things that I like about GeneratePress is that it comes with a huge documentation page which would help you know each and every feature of this theme easily.
You can read my GeneratePress Free vs Premium article to know more about this awesome theme.

Pros and Cons of GeneratePress Theme

GeneratePress comes with a simple and sweet pricing structure. It offers two pricing plans which are:

Divi is another popular theme for WordPress websites. It is made by Elegant themes which have made several other awesome themes and plugins for WordPress websites.
It comes with a visual page builder known as Divi Builder which would help you design your website easily.
Divi is packed with a bunch of awesome customization features that you can use to design your website beautifully.
Also, on the aspect of speed Divi is not behind any other WordPress theme in this list.
This theme is made with well-optimized code which would help you load your website faster than ever before.
Along with that Divi comes with a bunch of awesome demo sites that you can directly import to your website.
The pricing of this theme is quite affordable too but there is one problem that I have found in it is that you can’t get the Divi theme separately.
In all the pricing plans you get four themes from Elegant which are Divi, Extra, Bloom, and Monarch which is good if you want to try each of these themes.
But in case you only want the Divi theme then it could be a kind of unnecessary burden.
Why you should go for the Divi theme?
Pros and Cons of Divi Theme
Divi Theme Pricing
Divi theme comes with two simple and straight pricing plans where you get access to the four awesome themes from Elegant.

At the time of launch, Kadence was hugely criticized saying it is a straight copy of the Blocksy theme.
It was because of a WordPress blogger and YouTuber who gave a biased review of the Kadence theme by writing unbiased in his title.
I won’t get deep into this controversy but I would like to admit that indeed Kadence was inspired by the Blocksy theme but you can’t say it is a straight copy.
There are several features that Kadence has but Blocksy didn’t and there are some features that Blocksy has but Kadence didn’t.
Blocksy is a fully Gutenberg compatible theme that comes with a bunch of awesome features both in its free and pro version.
It is made with a super clean code which makes this theme super fast and fully responsive for all types of devices.
This theme is loaded with a bunch of awesome features, layouts, header designs, and more that would help you design your website easily.
Literally, the layouts of the header, blog, archives, and more present in this theme are superb which won’t get even in the Kadence theme.
Along with that if you don’t want to design this theme from scratch then this theme provides you a decent amount of demo templates too.
This theme is fully compatible with all the major page builders out there.
You can use its Blocksy Companion plugin on your website to get more header layouts, performance options, and more.
However, it still needs a lot of improvement to reach the level of the Kadence Blocks plugin.
Why you should go for the Blocksy theme?
Pros and Cons of Blocksy Theme
Blocksy Theme Pricing
Blocksy is a freemium theme which means that you can use it right away on your website.
However, if you want more awesome features then you can go for its premium version.
It is quite affordable but has quite a confusing structure.
For example, it doesn’t offer the usage of Blocksy Pro on unlimited websites in all its plans.
You have to go for its Agency plan if you want to use the Blocksy theme on unlimited websites.
It offers two kinds of plans which are annual and lifetime pricing plans.
Here are Blocksy Pro’s pricing plans:
5. Thrive Themes
Thrive Themes are one of the very few themes in the WordPress directory which are solely focused on providing more sales and leads out of your existing traffic.
You can get them with Thrive Suite which offers you a bunch of awesome themes and plugins made by the Thrive team.
You can do a bunch of different tasks using this suite such as adding email forms, making a sales funnel, creating quizzes, creating and selling courses, etc.
Along with themes and plugins, you also get access to Thrive University where you will learn how to use all the tools of the Thrive Suite effectively.
Despite all the good things, there is a downside of Thrive Suite too which is that adding excessive design elements like a newsletter, popups, etc with it can slow down your website.
However, it has a fix that you can use a solid web hosting such as Rocket.net hosting which can cope with all the designing stuff you have added to your website.
Why you should go for Thrive themes?
Pros and Cons of Thrive Themes
Thrive Themes Pricing
Thrive Suite has quite decent pricing if you are a well-established agency owner, affiliate marketer, or blogger
However, if you are a beginner then I don’t recommend Thrive theme.
Because of two main reasons – First, it has a lot of tools and plugins which can confuse you as a beginner, and second, its pricing is high.
Thrive offers you two different pricing plans which are:
Quarterly Plan – $99/quarter
Here are all the features of Thrive suite quarterly plan:
Yearly Plan – $299/year
Here are all the features of the Thrive suite yearly plan:
Along with that if you want to get Thrive suite for a lifetime then you should go for its Agency plan.
It would cost you a one-time payment of $588 which would give you unlimited updates, usage on up to 50 websites, 200+ pre-built landing pages, and a lot more.
Neve is an awesome WordPress theme made by Themeisle which is known for its fast speed and awesome header and footer builder.
It is a multipurpose theme so can be used to build any kind of website.
It is fully compatible with all the popular page builders out there like Elementor, Beaver, and more.
In recent times Neve has worked a lot in improving its page speed, theme size, customization options, and a lot more to provide its users the best experience for designing their websites.
Along with manual customization, Neve offers you 100+ starter sites that you can directly import to your website.
Neve is a freemium theme that you can use right away without paying a dime.
However, if you want to get the real power of Neve then make sure to invest in its pro version which is quite affordable too.
Why you should go for the Neve theme?
Pros and Cons of Neve Theme
Neve Theme Pricing
As I have previously mentioned that Neve comes with decently affordable pricing plans.
However, like other WordPress themes in this list, you won’t get any lifetime deal on the Neve Pro theme.
Here are all the pricing plans of the Neve Pro theme:
Personal – $69/year for unlimited site usage
In this plan, you will get all these features
Business – $149/year for unlimited site usage
In this plan, you will get all these features

In this plan, you will get all these features
OceanWP is the last theme of this list of Kadence WP alternatives.
However, it doesn’t mean that it lacks any kind of features from other themes present in this list.
This theme is fully compatible with the two most popular WordPress page builders which are Gutenberg and Elementor.
Along with that, OceanWP comes with 220+ demo starter templates that you can use on your website.
OceanWP is a fully responsive theme that is made with clean coding which helps load your website super fast.
